The photograph shows half of the 14 cross country skiers who were out on the trails this clear crispy New Years day. Almost everyone skied the 7km Meadow Loop Trail (2 used the Rabbit Cutoff). It was windy for part of the day with temperatures around the -13C mark.
The Skate Track was groomed for skate skiers and the 7 km Meadow Loop was set in classic style. I packed the upper Meadow Loop but it does not have a track yet. I drove a machine through the Pedersen Trail and I noticed someone had bushwacked up the Old Highway in 35+ cm of new snow. Those last two still need some work.
